Statement of Faith

We, at Thompson Family Farm, believe that the complex web of life on this planet could not possibly have evolved by random chance. The only way we can reasonably explain the life, order and beauty we see around us every day is the direct result of an all powerful, all wise and loving God - the God described in the Bible. We are constantly amazed at those who look at a spoon or hammer and know that it had a maker, but then will look at living forms that are infinitely more complex and believe they had no maker.

We also believe that the explanation for suffering and death in this world is explained in the Bible; namely, sin. The Bible says "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) and "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). God made a perfect world, but man's sin subjected it to vanity and bondage so that "the whole creation groans and travails in pain" (Romans 5:22).

But there's hope! God has not given up on us yet. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). While we were "yet sinners", "dead and trespasses and sin" and "enemies of God", God demonstrated His love to us by sending His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5). He died in our place, taking the judgment of God for our sins on the cross. "You were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, for your vain way of life but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:18,19).

Praise God, we do not have to get what our sins deserve! "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). "But as many as received Him to them gave He the power to become the Sons of God" (John 1:12). This is what the Bible calls "grace" - we get God's riches at Christ's expense. "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast" (Eph. 2:8, 9). All you need to do is believe and receive the gift of eternally life in Christ. God is long suffering not willing that any should perish, but there is a day coming in which the door of His grace will be shut. So, why not receive Christ today?

If you need any help in receiving Christ or walking with Him, we would be glad to help. All you need to do is ask.
